Bracket orders are conditional orders you can attach to your stock or option orders placed through StreetSmart Pro®. They consist of a primary order and up to three contingent orders, which will, if triggered, close out the position opened by the primary order. Brackets can provide automated risk protection for your open positions regardless of whether you are logged on to the software.
Bracket orders you place in StreetSmart Pro can be viewed and/or canceled when accessing your account in StreetSmart.com.
In the Order Status tab under My Account, you can:
|
1 |
View the Primary order |
Under the Trade Type column, orders with Brackets will display Primary. |
|
2 |
Change or cancel any unfilled shares of the Primary order |
Click on the order to view the available actions you can take on the order. |
|
3 |
View the Brackets |
Click on the Primary order and a secondary Bracket Legs panel will display the related Bracket orders. |
|
4 |
Cancel individual Bracket |
Click on any Bracket in the Bracket Legs panel and click Remove to delete that bracket from the primary order. |
|
Use StreetSmart Pro to make edits to existing Bracket orders or to add Brackets to an open position. |
